I bought the Sennheiser Ambeo and I am very pleased with it....easy set up and good quality sound. Bass "OK" but you can add a sub to it if not satisfied. Previous system was sophisticated Definitive Technology speakers with built in subs (Total 3800 watts) so of course this sondbar sub is going to sound weak to me. Overall, sound quality is good and the product is very handsome on the media console. You will need to raise up the TV about 3 inches on a small platform, since the Sennheiser is tall.

The sound is crisp using with the TV but not enough for the music. I have not yet bought sub for my soundbar but planning to do so. It will add more depth to overall sound. Having both systems (Not ARC but previous SONOS soundbar with theater set-up in another room) As a high level answer, I’d probably go with the SONOS. With the sub it will be good enough. I’ve heard and played with the ARC quite a bit but just stayed with their prior system. Plus, you can add a second sub (room size) if you need more presence (feel). It also plays all your music EASILY. The software is excellent. It will even accentuate the voice track on movies. (A problem I find common on soundbars- week vocal track) The Sennheiser Soundbar (SS) is awesome, but if you’re like me it will still need a sub and not just A sub. You’ll need something with presence or the experience is not complete. (Sorry bit snobbish) Vocal track, no problem. Very clear, very precise. Excellent sound quality, you’ll be impressed, but I’m not sure it’s absolutely needed. If you have a discerning ear, nothing but the SS will do, but the SONOS is very good and the overall package is better.
