• The Ambeo doesn't require and can't actually connect with any other speakers, aside from a subwoofer (not included). The surround experience is a virtual one and its success will be based on your room. I think it does a decent job, though in my living room I would say the soundstage is more wide than surround. I don't really get the atmos effect, but I do get some left and right surround happening.

• Nope. Possibly an external sub if you need really intense bass
