120 minutes is how much you might be able to get under optimal conditions assuming a battery that's close to brand new, a wide open room with nothing for the robot to get stuck on, and a floor that's already clean enough that it doesn't need to ramp up the suction for targeted cleaning. In other words, it's probably more than you'll get in day to day use. I wouldn't be that concerned about it though. The biggest advantage to having a robot with active navigation like this is that it knows where it was when it ran out of battery. So when it gets low it stops, returns to its dock, then picks up where it left off once it's gotten enough charge to finish the job. So long as it doesn't end up cut off from its charging base by a closed door or the like, it can stick with a cleaning job more or less indefinitely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no easy answer. The run time depends on a lot of things. If you have deep pile carpet and a lot of furniture in the way it will take longer to work around the furniture. Wood, tile or carpet floors also will affect run time, as will the amount if dirt. If you have long haired pets, especially large dogs, the Shark will make more trips back to the base to empty itself than if there are no pets. What we do is program it to do one part of our house at a time, bedrooms in the morning, kitchen and dining room in the afternoon and other rooms the next morning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will return to its base any time it needs to be emptied, and then resume where it was (if it need to recharge it will, generally it just continues). Depending on dust/pet hair I found this to be 45m to an hour. I ran it immediatly after it had just run (let it recharge) and it never emptied itself the second pass. I found it can run for 2h, if there is enough work for it to do and what it finds along the way (if it "finishes" and has not collected much dust it will deem itself finished. You need to look at it being a smart vac.
