• Hello, We are happy to assist you with your inquiry about the Shark® Bagless Cordless Hand Vac. To empty the dust cup, press the dust cup release button and pull out the dust cup. Remove the dust cup filter and empty the debris from the dust cup. The dust cup filter will pop out when you pull on the side of it. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team

• Yes it does just push the bottom and it like a tilt than the cup removes. I had trouble the first time but now I get it
