• Light cleaning is great with this. If you've a bigger problem, use a carpet cleaning machine unless directions forbid this process.

• Yes it's great no edge sucking or anything just move from rug to hardwood there is a button for carpet but that's about it

• The Hydrovac can not be used for dry vacuuming. There must be fluid in the Clean Solution Tank for the unit to run. The unit will turn off and indicate when you have run out of cleaning solution. However this unit can be used on rugs to clean them as well as hard floors.
