We have a pretty tall shag carpet in the basement and this vacuum does GREAT!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased one 7/9/19. I does amazing on small debris for hard wood as my 3200 sqft house does not have carpet. I am dissatisfied with the way the hair that gets wrapped around the brush and small wheels that is part of the piece that holds in the brush. If shark could make a brush that hair does not stick in ot would be amazing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This vacuum is not a deep cleaner. It's best carpet use is for quick, everyday, surface cleaning, which makes it great for low pile or indoor/outdoor, area and throw rugs carpet types, but not for plush. It will not, however, ruin any plush carpets and will pick up anything on the surface. It's great on hard floor, and for dusting with the attachments, but if you really want a deep down clean on your carpets, this is not the vacuum for that. For that reason, I say this is not a $400-$500 vacuum. I think a $200-$300 price tag is more appropriate and reasonable, but absolutely not more that 300...AFTER sales tax. That said, I do love it. It's easy to get under furniture, vacuum stairs, over head and ceiling level applications. I would not give it up. BUT, if I had known when I bought it that it would not be good for every vacuuming job, I would not have bought it just for the cost because it's just not worth that much.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am very disappointed with this vacuum. The suction is quite weak. It slows down on my carpet and I have to go over it several times. My small $39 stick vacuum did a better job. I’m taking it back to the store to see if I can get my money back.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 10 percent rugs, 30 percent carpets and 60 percent bamboo floors. When I am doing the floors and go to the rugs or carpets I have no trouble what so ever in changing from one to the other. The rugs and carpets does not stop the head from moving. My carpets are not real thick...sort of medium thick.
