It really depends on the height it must climb. I have rugs over a half inch thick and mine made it over with no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Shark ION robot will easily go over the edge of the rug. I have a fan that has a base that is around 1/2 inch high and the robot would attempt to climb on it, however, I put a 3/4 inch pole down and it would hit the bumper.

The Shark ION was able to transition from both those rooms even with the uneven floor and small gap in between. Really impressed by it.
