We've only had it a few weeks so I'm not certain. A few of the bristles were caught and bent when the robot tried a little too hard to clean something, but they were easily straightened, and performance wasn't affected at all. Based on the amount of use it's seen in the last few weeks I don't think they will need to be replaced very often at all.

You should replace the brushes when they look worn, but the frequency depends on a variety of factors.
