Hello Docking, We would like you to know that you can certainly have more than one dock for the Shark ION™ Robot. When the vacuum needs to dock to charge or is told to dock, it will go to the first dock it finds. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is possible to have two docs although we have only one. You wouldn't "tell" Alexa which dock to use, the robot would just find the closest base when it's finished with the cycle. Since the docks are on two separate floors, it would be impossible for the robot to get to the base on the other floor. I think it uses infrared technology (like most TV remotes) to find the base. You can see it pause as it passes the base and then turn back and forth as it narrows in on the base.
