• Yes. We use it on both floors of our house. We just simply move the base with it when we carry it upstairs.

• Once its charged you can pick it up and carry it to the second/third level (for an hour). - This seems like a defeating purpose unless you build it a ramp to drive up/down. Otherwise, your buying a vacuum for each level (It has wheels). The robot returns to a docking station every hour to charge so that may pose another problem if the areas are large. It may also cunfuse the mapping capability but this can be reset each time if you wish. Hope this helps....

• I have two story home this unit is upstairs. It does not go down the steps it has a fall - drop sensor that works impeccably. It sits thee feet from 22 steps to the main floor and works with no problems. Hope this helps
