I have this model. The only difference I know of is the lift away actually "lifts away". Its more portable. If u have a lot of stairs to vacuum, You don't have to cart around an upright,, U lift out the smaller canister and just take that with your hose. Good for cleaning out your car and such. This model, its not got that lift away option. Its just an upright. So if you live on 1 floor or if you don't mind hauling your upright up and down stairs, this is the best option. Cheaper and delivers on performance. :-) Hope that answers your question!
