• The Shark has a brush roll feature which makes tile floor cleaning a snap.

• Yes there are 2 on settings one with brush roll and one with just suction.

• The power switch has 3 positions: off, vacuum, and vacuum w/ brush roller.

• Yes. The on/off switch has different stages. You can turn it on for just suction or turn it on for the roller (like on carpet). This is one of my favorite features.

• The Shark Navigator Bagless Upright Vacuum does not have a shut off for the roller brush.
