how is the suction on the vacumns null

I have a chocolate lab and it gets up her hair with no problem. This is my second one. The first one I wore out the brush on the bar.

Suction is sufficient for our wood floors; being able to remove the part that gathers the dust and particles and dump the debris in the trash is a plus.
