• Yes especially if you have pets. It has two modes carpet and hardwood and the carpet setting is very powerful

• yes price is right and the vacumn is easily unclogged when foreign objects are accidentally scopped up.

• I have no idea. There are many, many vacuums on the market. This one seems to work as advertised. So, I suspect, do others.
