- Answer To access the HEPA filter, press the Dust Cup Empty button to open the dust cup, then press the release button and slide the dust cup off the hand vacuum. Next, press the filter release button and gently remove the HEPA filter. After rinsing and allowing the filter to air-dry completely, slide it back into the hand vacuum.

- Answer You can’t charge a spare battery by itself. The PowerDetect battery pack only receives power when the vacuum is docked into the wall-mounted/desk-stand charger. A loose battery won’t make contact with the charger’s terminals, so it must remain installed in the handheld base to recharge.
