• Cord is not short to me. It is every bit of 6 feet. May be 6 1/2 feet. Very good length and very good iron.

• The cord is standard length. It's about 3ft long. Honestly, I don't even notice a difference between my old iron length and this one.

• The cord is about 7 feet. Plenty long. Actually longest cord I have seen on an iron. I am 5'6". Holding the iron over my head as high as I can reach and there is still about a foot on the floor. Don't know why someone would want one longer . That could get dangerous. I got a coffee press too and love it. Coffee taste perfect, quick, and easy.

• It's long enough for residential use. Not sure why you would want it longer, but if that's the complaint, then use an extension cord.
