My living room is 14.5' x 34' and my dining room is 16' x16'. I have a combination of hardwood floors and carpeting. I can vacuum the entire first floor without filling the cup. If I do the first floor and all five bedrooms on the second floor, that will fill the cup. A lot also depends on how much dirt gets tracked into your home. If you have an entryway where a lot of leaves get blown in, then yes, you might have to empty more frequently.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I am trying to vacuum the whole house at one time (@1800 sqft with cats) I will empty it one time about half way through and again when I'm finished.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends how dirty your living room is! :) This vacuum is mostly meant for spot cleaning, or doing smaller areas. Can it do a living room? Yes. Will you have to empty the canister multiple times? No. But it is not the ideal vacuum to use for a whole house, IMO. Shark had bigger vacuums for that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It probably depends on how often you vacuum, but for my entire living room I only had to empty it twice while vacuuming, but I usually vacuum a couple times a week.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the vacuum has a small canister that would need to emptied when it is full.
