“I have a difficult time disengaging the canister part to empty it. Have to try many, many times before it comes off. Help!!!”

To empty The Shark - Rocket Bagless Upright Vacuum dust cup, simply press the wand release button on the top of the wand to disconnect it from the handheld vacuum. • make sure you press in the release button on canister- grey in color before trying to detach... I have had no trouble with this.

• I'm not sure why. I just hold mine over top of the garbage can and press the button and it releases. Maybe there is something wrong with your release button
