• No and it can pull itself down against the floor with how well it sucks air. The suction adjustment makes it easier to go over medium and high pile carpet.

• It is when you push the brush roller button. It has a button to turn it off when on bare floor, otherwise it will kick up debris.

• No. It is not self propelled but it's very light and maneuverable. Turns just like a Dyson.
