“I bought the Shark NV501 from Best Buy. On the website it shows pictures of accessories, 2 being the canister caddy & multi-angle dusting brush. When I got it home these items were not in the box. I drove all the way back and they said they were optional.”

Mine had what you mentioned plus the thin nozzle, dust brush, and furniture cleaning attachment, Sounds to me like those items failed to get put into your box. I would contact Shark.
