No, the Stainstriker is not self-cleaning. It requires manual hose cleaning using the included Hose-Cleaning Tool.

I didn't read about or see anything about self-cleaning but it's easy to take apart and empty the collection tank which can be rinsed in most sinks of kitchen size.
