Do you remove the pad from it before you store/charge it? I'm not entirely sure if this is the problem, but I remove the pad before storing/charging and I haven't had this problem. Also, make sure everything is tightly in place. If the cap is isn't clicked down all the way, I think it's possible that air coming into the tank through the cap could allow fluid to leak out.
