• The controls on the Shark - Vertex Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins - Black/Copper handle allow customization of floor mode, and suction modes. Press the floor type icon on the left to toggle between carpet and hard floor modes. Press the fan icon to customize suction control levels on either floor surface. Reduce suction levels on either floor type if you are finding difficulty pushing/pulling the vacuum. If your vacuum/nozzle is lifting area rugs, make sure the floor mode setting is set to the Hard Floor setting.
