“Timer? I noticed that one of the previous answers to a question said it doesn't have a timer. If you are cooking a Healthy Choice frozen dinner, can it be set to cook for 5 minutes, or what ever the directions suggested? Thank you ,”

Great question! We would like to clarify a few things regarding the timer feature of the R309YW Sharp microwave. You will be able microwave items for specific timeframes. The microwave does come equipped with a timer. The microwave signal audio beep for timer end cannot be turned off.

Mine certainly has a timer. I can set it for anywhere from 1 to 9 minutes. It also has settings for type of food: popcorn, beverage, frozen vegatables, meat, potato, etc. I am liking mine. I had wanted to get one to exactly replace the one that fit into my cabinets - for which the cabinet was custom made. This one is the right size but doesn't have holes fro the brackets I used before. So it is sitting on the counter until I get smarter. It works better and faster than my old one. And it's white, always a big positive.

YES. IF YOU WANT TO COOK FOR 5 MINUTES JUST PUSH THE NUMBER 5. IT WILL FINISH AND COOK FOR 5 MINUTES. IF YOU WANT TO COOK FOR 4 AND 1/2 MINUTES YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE POWER BUTTON AND PUT IN 430.

The express cook has a timer set for 1 minute by choosing 1 up to 6 minutes by choosing 6.

You can set it for any time, if you need more than 7 minutes, pause your cooking and wait about 5 min, then continue, To keep from unit overheating

Yes, it has a timer and you can set the cooking time as needed. It also has a "kitchen timer" feature that lets you time things on the stove.
