“The door does not always open properly. Sometimes I end up pushing it 8-10 times before it opens, but if you push and pull and the same time, then it works. Other times it works flawlessly. Is this a known issue or a defect in my oven?”

My Mother's (different brand) occasionally does the same thing. Cleaning the door latch helps fix that issue with hers for a while.
