“Installing a sharp microwave drawer with 3/4" thick cabinets. I added a cleat flush with the inside of the cab. to screw the MW to. This puts the cleat 3/4" recessed in the cabinet. The door is 1 1/4" deep thus the door sticks out 1/2". Is this correct?”

Hello, if you are installing the unit flushed, the cabinet and the unit should be in line with each other. For further information we suggest that you consult with the flush mount installation guide.
