“system shuts off on its own.. The system shuts off like its on the sleep timer but I have even set the timer to 90 minutes and it shuts off way before that.. I have repeatedly checked to make sure the sleep timer is off but it still shuts off just like you hit the off button... any reason why???”

You may have accidentally programmed something in there anyway. I recommend a factory reset (page 14 in the instructions), that will clear everything you ever programmed into it and start over. That way you know for sure if it is a malfunction. I never programmed any timers and have no issues with shut off. Good luck.
