“Tape deck won't open I have followed the directions very closely for opening the tape deck. I have had tapes in the deck, and they have played. But this time, after ejecting a tape and closing the deck, I now cannot reopen the deck. I have now gone back and reviewed the instructions for opening a stuck deck, but I still can't open it. I bought the unit 7/28/15 and have not been a heavy user of it. The CD and radio portions of the unit work fine. What can be wrong?”

Mine has been working fine since I purchased it in 2013. But, i would recommend that you try sticking a butter knife into the center of the door and tilt the knife upwards in an attempt to release the latch.
