“i own a Sharp MiniCS CD-DH950 i bought 2 yrs ago. Ws wrking fine but did not use it for a year. Sat in living rm. Now it won't wrk. I keep getting a "can not read" note & if it does finally come on it is very scratchy like old LPs. Can't find manual”

Have not had this problem. Might try to reset. S/B lower button, right side. Reset to factory specs. On line may have the owners manual. Good luck.
