I've not had any problems with my system. Radio is often on for several hours at a time with no problem.

Hello Grace, we are sorry to hear of that issue that you experienced with your previous unit. This is a feature on the unit to shut off if inactive, however it is not a known issue for this to happen when the unit is active. This issue may have been a one off situation.
