• Yes. I attached my HDMI cord to my laptop and change the input. It serves as a awesome monitor.

• It does have an input buttom on the remote to change from the TV to 3 different HDMI, AV, or USB ports

• I wouldnt use tvs as computer monitors. They are different. Computer monitors are made for close up viewing with tighter pixels. Keep them separate - TV for tv viewing and your computer desktop to be used with a computer monitor. In general Dell makes great monitors.
