“Just brought my TV on Sunday, but can't seem to mirror my Galaxy s9+ to the TV. Keep saying is the phone on. I don't have cable or going to subscribe to Roku. Try everything on the menu. Says nothing about screening.”

On all my phones that offer broadcasting there's a box at the top right of the you tube screen in particular that's a box with one or two others boxes within it and you click the box on top right and the phone will ask which device you want to broadcast to and you click the one that says Roku and it comes up on your tv....good luck!!
