It has a digital optical output for sound which will pass all the surround codecs. All you need is an optical audio cable long enough to reach your surround sound AV processor from the TV and you're good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Bose system connected to my TV. You can turn the TV speaker off and turn on the surround system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased a 'sound system' (actually, a sound bar and a bass/woofer) which can be connected to the TV by either an optical fiber cable or RCA stereo cable(s). The sound system I purchased cannot be controlled by my DirecTV controller, or the TV's controller, only by it's own controller. You have to turn the TV's sound to mute or just as low as it will go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.have your sounbar go through the tv so that whatever input you use on tv comes out your sound bar
