The only downfall is that there is very little 4k content to actually see the full potential of the TV, if Netflix would clearly mark the compatible ones that would be great.
I have the 4k TV tethered together with a 1080p Vizio set up to game on my PC and I love it! Wish I could get two of the same size 4k to tie together for the ultimate experience ! (Sharp 4k left , Vizio 1080p right)

The only reason I purchased this T.V was to optimize my gaming. I had a normal HD tv, but the quality wasn't as great. movies and gaming on this new 4K television does the job, I've noticed my power bill has decreased from using this product.

TV went out after only 2 years and 2 weeks and the customer service at Sharp just wants to send you a checklist to do. Once you fulfill that list they will just send another. When you get tired of the process they will say well if you don't want to continue there is nothing we can do. I sent proof of purchase twice and sent pictures of initial problem and sent a new picture after their factory reset didn't fix the problem and then they wanted me to take more pictures by following their how to take picture email. The pictures I sent showed the problem pretty well. They will never do anything about their high priced temporary TVs. Just pass and buy another brand.

Beautiful TV - Terrible Remote

I purchased this Sharp LC-43UB30U TV from Best Buy and I am more than thrilled with the picture quality. I honestly didn't think 4k would be a big deal, but I was wrong. It's stunning - even without 4k content.
My biggest problem is the remote control. It is perhaps the worst remote I've ever seen or used. It's thin, cheap plastic, is uncomfortable to hold and impossible to use in a dark room. The buttons do not stand out enough to feel your way around it. If I don't find another solution, I will return this TV simply because I can't live with the remote.

great picture and 4k was great, only saw 4k quality with netflix stream, crystal clear but you could see the imperfections on the dark parts of screen because of the 60 refresher rate, next level is 120 then 240 is the tops but I didnt have 2000$ for a 240 4k,if my IT guy didnt show me the difference I would have never noticed myself, great for all video game systems,ps3,ps4,ps2 with component cable and great for sports especially football,I highly reccomend until you could afford the expensive models, cant go wrong

BUY A BETTER UNIVERSAL REMOTE!!! This TV is Amazing, I play my PS4 mainly on this and the Display with this TV is extremely crisp and responsive in Game mode. Even TV through Rabbit ears is astounding. With the newest update It now includes a Web browser... but come on, we all have smart phones more capable of browsing. For A smart 4K television $600 is A steal. Don't let these negative Reviews dissuade you, they are mad about the remote which is easily replaced with A touchscreen UNIVERSAL REMOTE. This TV is also an Aquos, So expect INSANE colors and clarity , I have also watched all 4K content VIA Netflix and can say this TV is SUPERB for the Price. If you want A 4K TV but don't want to spend $1000 dollars, This works just as well as Those TVs.. but without the high price. TRUST ME and buy this TV. Takes gaming to A whole new level.

I was about to just replace my old hd tv with a tv with the same specs, but I'm sure glad that I decided to pay just a little more for the upgrade. The image looks great despite not even having UHD cable or a player. Even just playing 4K footage through my PS4 on YouTube looks amazing. Only drawback so far is controller and menu navigation. The controller is very cheap and doesn't feel like a controller that should accompany a high quality tv. Also, the menu navigation is a bit clunky, but not a deal breaker for me. I can't wait for UHD movies to become available so I can play them on this tv. I recommend for those that don't want to drop the cash for more expensive tvs, but for casual viewers and those looking to prepare for the next phase of HD.

This is a great T.V. I actually went into the store which I don't normally do but I am glad I did as the salesperson showed me a fault with the Vizio screens. Sound on this tv isn't great but I have a soundbar so not an issue for me. Picture quality is my biggest concern as this is a gaming T.V. Games look spectacular, I don't use the preset game setting I go with dynamic fixed.

I have been happy with the picture quality and overall function of the TV, but it does have a few small issues. I have seen some ghosting and choppiness in the picture on a few occasions depending on the source. I also wish there was a sleep timer button directly on the remote - instead I have to dig around in the menu to find it. Other than that, it has been working great so far and was priced well for what I got.

Love this Sharp TV. Picture quality is really nice. Set up was pretty easy as TV walks you through it. My only complaint is there was no info in book about the remote & I can't find on line to clarify the various "buttons" when streaming a movie.

Wish there was less input lag for connected devices
Netflix in 4k looks freakin amazing though for the most part
Also wish additional apps were available...not much of a smart tv if its limited to a few apps..
Got it on sale but id still pay full price if I were to buy another...worth it if youre just watching movies..not good for gaming
Picture I upload doesnt do this tv justice

great picture quality & clarity. I didn't give 5 stars because it seems there's a slight issue with the remote. It stopped working w/ the TV a couple of times, so I've had to reset the TV so it would work again. Other than that, this was a great buy.

This is my 3rd Aquos TV from Sharp - have enjoyed the prior two without question. This purchase though might be my last from the Sharp line up.
First off - the remote it the absolute worst I have ever used. It is a flimsy piece of shiny plastic that doesn't seem to fit the form and function of the beautiful set-top it is to control. Not sure why Sharp changed it up from the last types of remotes as they worked just fine. The numbers button is to replace being able to click number keys - but frankly that just seems silly. The buttons are way to bunched together so when you are watching shows at night in a darker environment - its hard to know what you are clicking - not very intuitive either.
Secondly - in an effort to overcome the remote issue - I tried with no avail to connect via the 3.0 SmartCentral app on my iphone/ipad. I could see the TV but could not operate it with my mobile devices. I called Sharp thinking I did something wrong to setup the controls - but the response I received was disappointing. At first - the rep said the apps are all 3rd party and Sharp really doesn't support them. I complained and he put me on hold to 'find out more' about the apps. Upon returning to the call - he noted that Sharp has identified issues and is working to update firmware to fix the issue - however there is no target date on when the firmware will be released. I guess I expected way more from Sharp on this... Oh - any there is little to no support via the user manuals either...
Overall - the tv is beautiful - love the 4K - but I am extremely disappointed as I feel Sharp rushed this to market not 'customer testing' the unit - thus the horrible remote and the issues with the mobile connectivity.

This TV has one of the best pictures I've seen . So many different features I haven't explored all of them yet . The where the remote control at the factory they install the battery upside down and slammed it in almost breaking it . I'd buy it again

Good image quality, good refresh rate and great value for money. Only minus is that the remote control isn't very responsive and needs an external USB based IR receiver which takes up 1 slot in the USB.
