• Yes there is. I am using an external HD antenna for locals and the receiver is nice.

• There is a standard coaxial connector for antenna or cable hookup.

• Yes there is a cable input which allows you to run a coax cable from your antenna to the Tv. There is even an app with an antenna icon already set up for it on the channel screen.
