QuestionDoes this TV still allow connection to cable or is it just for ROKU?

- Answer Yes you can connect to your standard cable, or to hdmi with a cable box. The roku is controled with wifi. You must have a wifi connection in your home. once connected, the tv is controled with the ROKU remote control. The on button, the volume in on right side, the channel selector is the left arrow on the remote.

- Answer Nope... But you will need accounts with Hulu Plus...Netflix...Amazon Prime etc...etc.

QuestionWhat's the width of the base of the unit?Since many consumers buy TV's to fit specific pieces of furniture, it would be quite helpful to know the measure of the base, from foot to foot. That is, will it easily sit atop at TV stand that's 32 inches wide without the feet hanging over the edge?

- Answer There is only one combined "Sharp TV / Roku" remote that comes with this TV. I do not see a stereo ear phone jack on the remote itself. I have a ROKU 3 in the bedroom and that Roku remote does have the jack. Not sure why they didn't include it on the Sharp TV. Woulda been nice!

QuestionHow can I get my cable remote to navigate the home screen?I have set up my cable remote and it turns the TV off and on and manages the volume. However, when you first turn on the TV it takes you to a home screen where you need to choose which HDMI port or app you want to access. My cable remote does not allow me to navigate through this screen or choose the cable HDMI option. Any way to do this or just have to use Roku remote for home screen?

- Answer The roku tv is considerably limited as compared to a regular "smart" tv. We ended up using only the roku remote. The roku remote turns on the TV, sound, channels, etc. After a few calls to sharp, I figured out what had to be done. We use this tv in our Cottage. I dont think I would buy this for my main tv at home because of the limited auxiliary ports, no aux. speakers access, etc. But the price was right an we like it for what it is....Best Buy Sales did not seem to have much info on this tv

- Answer No, you can not surf the web. If you need info regarding all the different Smart TV's available, I recommend you take an afternoon on your computer and do some research. I, for one, am hooked on the Roku platform. Very fast, intuitive and very similar to Google Apps. Roku calls it's apps "Channels". Don't get confused with the wording. At first I was skeptical like many reviewers here about the remote. However, turns out this little gem blows every other remote out of the water. Simplicity becomes a new meaning. What good is a remote with 1500 buttons on it (which you can't see in the dark) and 95% of them never get used? This thing delivers. As it was mentioned in a review by 'Wired' magazine: "Roku TV Is the First Smart TV Worth Using." I recommend having a look here: http://www.wired.com/2014/01/roku-tv/ Hope this helps.

- Answer Here are some instructions, I hope this helps. 1) Press Home on your remote to return to the Roku Home Menu. 2) Go to Settings. 3) Go to TV Picture Settings - From there you can change the brightness settings.

Questionprogramming Dish remote to turn TV on.Dish remote turns TV on to the Home screen, but does not go to a full picture on the screen. This TV has many more features than I really need. It should have had a remote for people who weren't interested in the Roku part. It is a very nice TV otherwise.

- Answer As a follow-up to my previous response... If you go to settings on the home screen, then go to System, then go to Power, there is an option called "Power On" which dictates which screen comes on when you turn the power on. You can make this the cable output, last output you were on, or any other output.

QuestionRoku stick/account required?Do I need to purchase a Roku stick or have a Roku account in order to access Netflix, Amazon or Hulu etc.? Meaning I already have a Netflix account, can I just access the wi-fi to stream or is the Roku stick needed for wi-fi access? I guess what I am asking is there additional purchase required to access streaming content?

- Answer The Roku is built-in and you can access thousands of streaming channels through it for free. Some channels like netflix, hulu, vudu and Amazon require a subscription or pay per view but you can use current membership account. You will just have to log in to link (register) the Roku to your account. No additional equipment needed. Works great!

- Answer No Roku is always free. You can then register it so you can access any subscriptions that you may already be paying for such as netflix and amazon.
