“Roku stick/account required? Do I need to purchase a Roku stick or have a Roku account in order to access Netflix, Amazon or Hulu etc.? Meaning I already have a Netflix account, can I just access the wi-fi to stream or is the Roku stick needed for wi-fi access? I guess what I am asking is there additional purchase required to access streaming content?”

The Roku is built-in and you can access thousands of streaming channels through it for free. Some channels like netflix, hulu, vudu and Amazon require a subscription or pay per view but you can use current membership account. You will just have to log in to link (register) the Roku to your account. No additional equipment needed. Works great!
