“I use a digital antenna to get my few local channels. Other than that I basically just watch movies. I do have Netflix but only on my phone. I am interested in this tv but I wanted to know if it can be used as a "normal" tv or if I have to use ROKU?”

There are various options when you set it up, and one of them is to start the TV on a specific input when turned on. So, you could set it to start on antenna by default. But switching between the various inputs (antenna, HDMI, Roku) is very easy. Just press the home key and select. One thing to notice is that the remote does not have a numeric input to enter direct channel numbers. You have to go up or down until finding the one you want, but pressing left arrow will open up a channel guide and the TV tuner is very fast at switching channels. Also. The antenna reception is great and HD channels look very good.
