A:Answer John,
I use it as a TV and a computer monitor. You need to be certain your video card is powerful enough to produce a 4k resolution. Easy to change/upgrade to a video card capable of 4k in a Desktop, but using a Laptop might be disappointing if it is 1080 or 768 resolution.
I am using GIMP software in 4K amazing the lack of details and horrid touch up performed in some of my images at 1080 resolution.
With 4k TV @ $200 there is no reason to use 1080 any longer for cad, or pixel art software. These less expensive 4k may not make a gamer happy, but for me, the resolution upgrade has opened a new world...
My only question for the future, with 8K resolution TV coming to US shops in 2019 will we have desktop video cards capable of that resolution quickly?
