• We have directv and yes we can use it. You just set it up as cable/tv. I think you can you chromecast as well since it does have the hdmi port to plug in you chromecast.

• Sure you can. Just make sure your box from your provider has HDMI out. The older boxes, from years ago, do not have the new HDMI output. But to answer your question, surely they will work.
