  • QuestionSharp, why don't you ever answer any questions? We don't want to call you! We want an answer to our questions!

    Asked by Questions.

    • Answer I'm not a Sharp rep, but they may be phasing out the Sharp Brand TV and perhaps those reps associated with Sharp. It seemed at one time from shopping online at BestBuy that their stock was so low with choices of Sharp TVs. I have 3 Sharp TVs, a 42-inch, 50-inch and 65-inch that I brought over the last 4 years. But a while back when I was checking online for Sharp Brand TVs, the stock looked very low, as if it was going to be phased out.

  • QuestionIs this is a good gaming tv? What is the input lag? Would this be a good tv for the new Xbox one S?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Sorry to say this Sharp TV (UB30U comparable) has the worse input lag per RTINGS.com - 79 ms. The Vizio D and P series got the top score followed by Samsung. You've got to pay much more $$$ to get good gaming TV. Look for high refresh rate of 120 Hz and up plus make sure the Tv has "Game" mode setting which offset other electronic features of the TV automatically to offer better game experience, if not you will have to tinker with settings yourself. Of course Sharp has higher end models too that was not tested by RTINGS which is sad because the N9000U is awesome.

  • QuestionSo does this tv have HDR? and if it does, which one does it support?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Yes, from what it says on Sharp's website for this model (https://www.sharptvusa.com/tvs/4k/lc-65n7000u). A friend of mine who's really into TV's suggested that I not even consider any 4K TV unless it's HDR capable, so I'm guessing this should be fine (he says "High dynamic range. Basically the tv looks amazing when watching HDR content. It's supposed to be bigger jump in quality then just 4K")...
