• Hello, it is recommended that you use fresh tap water inside the unit. Use of other water sources may promote the growth of mold, fungus and/or bacteria.

• I would suggest demineralized water.... Regular tap water contains minerals that will crust on the humidifier wick and drive roller. Not sure if using distilled/demineralized will eliminate the E2 errors, but it won't hurt :)
