“How to give TV's audio output to A/V receiver ? In a typical setup, blu-ray or cable box output is given to the receiver which seperates audio (to speakers) and video (to TV). But if i use any of the TV's built in apps like youtube/pandora/netflix using the built-in wi-fi, it'll have to be other way, i'll have to provide the audio from the TV to the receiver so that it be decoded (Dolby/DTS) and further fed to the home theater speakers. How to achieve this ? does the TV offer original sound output ?”

Excellent question! The LC70LE732U Sharp television has a feature that is called Audio Return Channel that is available through HDMI 1. You can connect an HDMI cable from the television to the receiver and the TV will send audio from your streaming services to your home theater set up. You can find the instructions on page 52 of the owner’s manual.

Please try again later.get a digital audio cable i had the same problem trying to hook everything up hdmi so what i did was hook up my cable to my tv then my ps3 xbox and wii and blue ray to my tv then took the digital audio cable to my surround sound now i don't have to change the surround sound from one device to the other with the remote what ever is showing on your tv will play threw your surround sound I'm running in my living room a 70 inch sharp quad color 2 15 inch subs the ps3 xbox wi and a ken wood thx surround sound the digital audio cable made it 1000 times better sound and much more easy to use
