• Not necessarily, although 'high-speed' HDMI cables are available which are supposed to transmit data faster and allow for higher resolutions to be transmitted.

• get the cinnamon hdmi cables they cost about $150 but if you spent the money on the tv you want the best picture it worked for my 2 70 inch sharp quad colors
