Scrape at the edge of the metal cabinet cover at the back or bottom where the sheet metal folds over. It is very difficult to remove. The worst spot is the vent grates on the side. Hey Sharp, either leave this plastic off or use another material that is easier to remove.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just use a hair dryer to warm up the film...it comes right off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just brought home the microwave. I had to Google the words that were on the sticker since I could not find any edge that the film had. This website came up with everyones' answers. I can't believe that this appliance comes into the consumer's house and we're supposed to spend frustrating minutes/hours trying to remove this invisible film? You have to be kidding me ? I wonder what will happen if the consumer doesn't want to spend precious time trying to remove this invisible film? Will the eventual heat from numerous uses do something to the finish/film? I want to contact Sharp corporate about this. Thank you for letting me vent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know - I thought the same thing, but the film is there and can be removed. I opened the door and started at that seam on the top of the microwave. It cam off in one sheet - but it’s not real easy to see how to start.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a kind of hard time taking the whole plastic coating off. But it is there covering the entire stainless area over the top and sides. Not too fun to remove and can’t say I understand the concept! Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Pick at the bottom to get a start then pull a small amount carefully going all the way around only if its an 1/8 inch at a time keeping the plastic together as you go. Keep peeling it off a small amount at a time. Do not try to rip it off just peel. It took me a good 10 minutes to gradually roll and peel it off. I am like the other lady, i do not understand the concept.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you heat it up be careful the film is very thin but you could remove the plastic with the letters and numbers by mistake.
