• When I researched, the difference, the more expensive model had a probe. I choose the cheaper price, because of the price difference. I have also purchased Sharp, before, and have not been disappointed.

• Hello, the unit has an outside dimension of 20.3 x 12.0 x 14.9 in (W x H x D). The microwave is smaller than the unit you had for 30 years so it should be able to work.
