I use a Chromebook that does not have a USB and I have only connected to it directly with Bluetooth. Same with my phone.

My laptop is not Bluetooth so I need the dongle to make it Bluetooth compatible but my husband’s computer has Bluetooth built in. Depends on your device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You don't need the adapter but it provides a stronger Bluetooth connection to the headphones than what your computer typically has. Shokz offers both a USB-A and USB-C adapter although I'm only seeing the USB-A here on the Best Buy site. The Shokz website and Amazon provide both where you choose your preference.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Judging from the specs on other sites it works without the adaptor. pictures show people driving with it and running. So unless they are plugging it in somewhere out of sight, I think you are safe to assume it does not need it.
