It should. I used mine for a stand alone Roku.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Sony TV and do not have a Sharp TV to try. The instructions come in the box. Basically one points the end that you would normally point toward the TV at the end of the SIDECLICK remote that you would normally point toward the TV at each other then push the button on the SIDECLICK that you want to program. If your remote for your TV uses RF (radio frequencies) then it will not work. One way to tell if your remote uses IR (IR stands for Infared and means the remote must be pointed directly at the receiver. RF stands for Radio Frequency and means the remote is multi-directional. ) is to point your remote towards a the camera on your cell phone with it in camera mode, press a button on your remote and if you see flashing on the camera it is IR and should work. I have mine setup to control the sound from my Pioneer AV receiver and the inputs on my Sony TV. I do like it. The only drawback is that I have to remove it when I what to use the earphone, but that is not a big deal since I don't us them that much.

(on my side click i programmed, tv functions and soundbar functions to the remote via their respective remotes. so you will just enter programming mode, and essentially shoot the IR signal into the end of this thing, and it "learns" it, and every button can be programmed.. So yes this would work in respect to your sharp tv for those functions. the main purpose of this however is actually to streamline your remotes. Previously in my bedroom i had 3 remotes. roku, tv, and soundbar. the sideclick is designed to snap next to the ROKU remote (thus the side click, so if you dont have a stand alone roku box remote, it wont actually clip on, or well at least) and eliminate the extra remotes. After i programmed the sideclick it now functions for the tv, and soundbar, and clips to the roku remote, thus eliminating the two other remotes, and adding minimal bulk to the roku remote. in this case, i dont really need the other remotes, unless i need to access menus or something.
