“How do I connect to the 5G wifi option instead of the 2.4G?”

• You have to connect to the default 2.4 GHz first, then login into the interface for it, I believe it is in 192.168.1.1 and put that in your browser and login. Then you can go to Wifi settings and turn on the 5 GHz network and turn off the 2.4 GHz. It only allows you to have one or the other on at a time.
