It sounds like your Base Station may not be properly plugged in. Make sure that the power cable is inserted into the Base Station all the way, and is securely plugged into the wall outlet as well. It might also help to check the cable itself for damage, and to try different outlets. As soon as the Base Station is properly powered, you should hear it say "Welcome to SimpliSafe".
